The Groove Junkies get behind the studio mixing desk with the Stuttering Munx and Indeya to bring you 2 separate tracks but with plenty of mixes on this EP entitled Stories Of An Addict on the relatively new MoHo 180 Records label.
On the first track entitled Addicted To The Rise features Stuttering Munx and Indeya on vocals. The first mix up is the Deep Tech Mix which is available in both Vocal and Instrumental form, very mainroom sounding with that funky sounding edge that the Groove Junkies have spent years getting just right. You can definitely expect this to be all over Ibiza over the next few months and the little scratching sound FX that keep on making appearances work so well. The Mo Hump Mix is slightly a more laidback affair than the Deep Tech versions but with the funky edge still present, this is more for getting the floor moving at the start of the night in those mainrooms.
The final track on this outstanding EP sees the Stuttering Munx on their own with a little track entitled Toasted Tubes. Johnny Young and Tim Nice Way Back are the available with their own interpretations of this track. Johnny Young has given us a percussion filled mix that has got so much energy, and can quiet easily fit into any of the Swedish Mafia style set. Tim Nice Way Back is the next remix of this track, deep spoken vocals saying ‘Time to go back’ add the extra bit edge to this version. Also including is the Johnny Young Drum Tool which is 4 minutes of DJ Tool heaven. Brilliant package on MoHo 180 that will appeal to a whole new audience and dancefloor, and just in time for the start of Ibiza.
