It was summer in the late 70′s my sister threw a house party and hired a DJ crew to play the music. As soon as the opened their custom built DJ equipment coffin, I was interested. Then they proceeded to play the music without interruption, and the way that they had the crowd going was fascinating to me. From that day on becoming a DJ became my passion. Listening to every mixed set radio had to offer. The original 92 KTU always had one, as well as 98.7 Kiss fm(RIP) Mastermix, and WBLS midday mix. John ?Jellybean? Benitez became a great obscure DJ mentor , as well as Shep Pettibone, The Latin Rascals, Red Alert , Chuck Chillout, Marley Marl, Freddy Baston, Tony Humphries, and Merlin Bobb. Just to name a few. Well that is how it all started. Music and mixing it has always helped to keep my sanity. Playing to a full floor and keeping it full gives me the greatest high one could ever get. So I play music as if the crowd was there with me.GoJay was derived from a baby who called me Gojay
