Max is back with Kerri’s new take on his own classic “Track 1”, newly entitled “Track 1 Revisited”. Released on his label Max Trax, the five versatile mixes are sure to make their way into your peak and late night sets. Choose either the Maximum, Reel to Reel, Raw, Bigga or Jazz mix and you’ll have no trouble at all working folks into a big ol’ sweat. The mixes provide a beautiful combination of underground grooves, deep atmospheres and electronic elements with killer bass, perfect for making people lose there sh*t. Kerri Chandler does it once again. Special thanks to our friend Nadir Simon who is heard throughout several mixes blowing sax.

Kerri Chandler Track 1 Revisited (Max Trax Records CD Promo)
In the past, there was once a track called Track 1 by house music legend Kerri Chandler released as part of the Atmosphere EP through Shelter Records (later known as Atmosphere as dubs were released by Ibadan Records) that keeps on rockin' dance floors around the globe since then... Now today we've got Track 1 Revisited which transforms this timeless house anthem into a classic for the 21st century. Five mixes to choose from, either featuring amazing keys, jazzy saxophone by Nadir Simon or both in a hot combination, with the subjacent musical backings being absolutely ruthless. Get back in time with the 'New Old School Mix', keep on jammin' to the 'Jazz Mix' or choose one of the other three mixes for a deep house extravaganza seldom heard. Simply Kerri Chandler at his best.

************************************************** ****************** Kerri Chandler Track 1 Revisited Max Trax
Kerri Chandler reaches way back to his 1993 release Atmosphere EP on Shelter Records and comes up with a handful of gold. Track 1 is widely considered one of Kerri's finest instrumental releases, and it brought back a flood of memories of the old school days before Techno and House hit a fork in the road and DJs easily mixed tracks from Chicago, New York, Detroit and Berlin in the same set.

This new package of five mixes seems almost an individual challenge by Kerri to see just how versatile he can be, with mixes ranging from the ultra deep Bigga Mix to the smooth saxophone by Nadir Simon on the Jazz Mix. Even within the confines of each edit, there's an array of conflicting elements - the Jazz Mix, for instance, starts with a hard percussion roll leading into soft piano keys and sax solo that would be at home in a studio session with George Benson. The thing you notice here are the small touches - the fuzzy needle in the opening of the Bigga and Maximum mixes, or the smooth bouncy bass in the jacking New Old School Mix, which simply sounds like euphoria. This is a brilliant release from one of House Music's legends, bridging the gaps between dance music genres the way only Kerri Chandler can.
