What is Big Fun?

Big Fun is an Electronic Dance and House Music event held on south section of the Frederick Maryland Fairgrounds. The event grounds have two areas of music with DJ's playing both indoor and outdoor. The first area is our Main Room Warehouse which is 8000 square feet. Some of the features in the Warehouse include the high end sound system, intelligent lighting system, big screen projectors, haze machines and ceiling fans located throughout the entire room. The second area is our 30 x 60 House Tent. This area boasts a top notch sound system, projection screen and nightclub level lighting to set the mood for when the sunsets. There will be food, beverage, beer and other vendors on site selling their products from the start of the event until the end. In the event of rain both of the music areas are completely covered. The party can continue without any issues. The restroom structure is located next to both music areas with plenty of stalls eliminating the dreaded long line wait. Parking lots at the event are all within the Fairgrounds with attendants assisting with parking and monitoring activity around the cars.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

The goal of the event is to bring the scene back the dance floor and the people. The ecstatic rise of dance music has created the need for bigger and bigger events. Unfortunately we believe the scene has grown wider but not deeper. Dance music events have been reduced to crowds transfixed on a DJ. DJ praise has replaced dancing and connecting with people on the dance floor. As this phenomena becomes the norm the purpose of the music becomes lost to this generation. Big Fun is an attempt to resurrect the spirit of the scene by bringing the dance back to the people. The DJ is only a piece of the larger purpose of gathering. Our goal is to put the spot light back on the dance floor.

In the years that have followed, he has taken his talents to all ends of the earth ? from North and South America to Russia and Asia, and everywhere in between. He appeared at such seminal events as Coachella, and Lollapalooza, and has become a welcome fixture with many of the largest production companies in the US and abroad. His initial popularity was assisted thanks in part to his legendary mixed series, "Time to Get Ill" and has continued to flourish through the release of remixes and singles such as ?Jacker's Anthem,? ?My Life? and ?Watchu Gonna Do?. He is a mainstay in the charts on BeatPort and Traxsource as well as other worldwide digital sites. In the past few years Feelgood has had several releases on Major and Independent labels such as, Instereo, Guesthouse, Fogbank and Ammo Recordings - with a breakout track called "Bebop"
that stayed in the Beatport and Traxsource charts for most of the 2014 year! Feelgood remains committed to lighting up dance floors around the world ? summing up his musical mission in one sentence: "I just want to do what the name implies, to make people have a good time and go home with a great feeling?.
