Happy Holidays. After 27 years Margaret Conway and I are still trying to get a handle on "Love Lights". The song has morphed in many directions since it was recorded back in 1982. We have discovered multiple releases on both Old Town and Jive Records a year after we originally recorded it. Muliple copyrights changing the song title to "You Can Lay Your Head On My Shoulder a year after we copyrighted it. However Barry Weiss CEO at Jive Records refuses to acknowledge the existence of the song or the group. We are trying to get feedback from DJ's here in the U.S. and in Europe on if they played or ever heard "You Can Lay Your Head On My Shoulder / Love Lights". The record has been called a "Classic" in Europe. Sammy I know you have a vast resource of contacts with the worldwide DJ community and we would appreciate whatever you could do for us. You know that DJ/Producer Hippie Torrales will forever be intimately connected with this record because he heard it and recorded it first for Garden State Record Pool before Jive Records and Old Town Records took if from him. We now see on You Tube, the record appeared on Soul Train UK. as a "featured disk". I know you have contacts in the U.S. and European DJ community, we just need to know it Dj's are familiar with the record or played it or what their ferdback was.
