Dawn Williams "Get up and do it" (New Generation Records CD Promo)
The legendary New Generation Records is back in full force - hot on the heels of their "Revival EP 3", UPI present the massive vocal production "Get up and do it" performed by the highly talented Dawn Williams who impresses with her powerful voice which together with the old school flavored funk soaked backing and warm keys create a resistless feel good vibe on the dance floor. Also included are deeper, underground-esque remixes on an electronic tip by Petros Mitolis. Written by Mike Fossati

Produced by: Ricci Melillo from UPI
UPI Has had many hits on many labels like Strictly Rhythm, Natural Records, Rawhaus Records, Cronic Records Groove-n-Stuff records , Emotive Records to name a few.
REMIXED By: Petros Mitolis
Since the late 70s the Greek Petros Mitolis were doing electronic dance musik. He was raised in Germany, it was clear to him that "Kraftwerk" was counted among the strongest influences, but also the upcoming Disco music from the USA. As his music was more Funk and R&B in the beginning, the musical direction became very clear after a visit to New York 1986 and after some nights in the legendary "Paradise Garage" House.
A few years later he and his German friend Dieter (The Dos Salinos ) had collaborated with a singer from Las Vegas. On a music trade fair in Germany, they offered the track "Read me", and promptly the first record label showed strong interest. They assumed that they would perform their music live on stage to promote the track. However, Petros and Dieter saw themselves much more as producer than performer. So they declined the offers. From that time on, they made one track after another.
The way of production change massively. Synthesizers and mixing desk were replaced by software. The whole musik changed. But Petros source of inspiration will always remain noticeable : Kraftwerk, Prince, Michael Jackson, Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Larry Levan, Todd Terry, Jellybean Benitez, Jimpster, Milton Jackson, At jazz, Fred Everything...

Sound on house BMI
In the tradition of New Generation Records Dawn Williams is and will be a force to reckon with.
