Producers Robert Mahosana cognoman 'dj' Murdha and Thabo 'Smol' Mabogwane have made an energetic start to their musical union. Their hometown; Pretoria (Tshwane) - epicenter of the South African house scene - has watched in proud anticipation over the last year, as interest for the duo has amplified. Vehemently vibrating through the speakers of international music tastemakers. Their fresh ideas afford a nod of integrity to their African forbearers, heavy percussive rhythms; compliment deep house references, providing an unmistakably congruous combination.Enveloping the melodic hook of the pennywhistle, Jah Rich's decipherable vocals provide pace to the track. A backbone of encouragement, that lifts you on to your feet. It is hard to ignore the call to be part of music from this highly engaging and uniquely nourishing performer. The recent passing of Rich lends a sad, yet poignant twist to the beautifully hypnotic and enriching sound of 'Clap Your Hands'.

Great consideration over remixes was given, the release includes work by -Justin Imperiale, currently making big moves on the scene with an impressive array of collaborations for prominent labels and a revered show on Smoothtraxx Radio. LA producer Jose Marquez charged by the sounds of deep afro latin soul responsible for Celia Cruz, Elegua; Nina Simone, Black Bird; and Oumou Sangare – Mogo Te De Diva Bee Ye. And not forgetting Honey Combs chief aficionado Josh Milan of the legendary group Blaze, whose remix delivers an artful Afro beat arrangement in homage to Fela Kuti. The accompanying music video, directed by Justin Campos and produced by Gorilla films was filmed on location in a village in South Africa with the whole community, to great visual effect, involved.

TRIBE019A - DJ Micks feat. Robin Latimore 'First To Say Goodbye' (Charles Webster Remixes)

Following the great response to the original & Rocco remixes of this project, Tribe are excited to bring you six different versions from Nottingham's Charles Webster..

First To Say Goodbye has already been reinterpreted and reinvented by Rocco who delivered us a tip top mix that has been hugh down in South Africa and within its final chapter of creative evolution, Charles Webster now breeds new life into this project delivering six different versions fitting for other dancefloors across the globe.

Tribe has long been a big supporter of the track and given the reaction and response from those on the dance floor it became clear that 'First to Say Goodbye' was too big a song to remain a bootleg. Tribe creative head Zepherin Saint set out on a mission to find the right vocalist to pay homage to Gladys Knight, this was no easy task but he felt there was only one place that could produce such a voice, the birth place of Ms Knight herself Atlanta, Georgia. Having strong musical connections in Atlanta quickly led Zepherin Saint to very a special lady who could indeed take up the challenge - enter Ms Robin Latimore a prominent jazz vocalist who has shared the stage with jazz greats such as Ronnie Laws and Jeff Lorber. Robin stepped up to the microphone and nailed the song in one take.
