Ferry Ultra is back with a new gem for the lovers of funk and soul. After the huge success of his Big Hit ?Why Did You Do It? featuring the voice of legendary Ashely Slater, he's continuing this soulful vibe on ?Let Me Do My Thang? with the great Gwen McCrae on the vocals.
While the original version is already a timeless classic with a lot of Motown attitude, Opolopo takes it to the clubs. Opolopo did a proper job on his remix with some dope brassy synths & skippy beats which help the fantastic vocal to shine even more!

When Andy was on tour in South Africa, Nov' 2014 he was booked to play at 'City Soul Addicts' in Jozi. Whilst he was playing his set a cool dude called Shamrock plugged in his guitar and started firing out some decent jazzy/ afro licks!! Then, Bongani the percussionist started on the congas...the jam was alive!!! So, when Andy came back again in Dec' they all hooked up for a jam in Soweto at Shamrocks studio, and then the magic began!! Mpho grabbed the mic as well and started rappin' about the ghetto, so then this groove was born! Andy ended up spending most of the week in the studio with these guys, so there's plenty more songs on route.

Originally penned as a tribute to the late Soul Kandi DJ, DJ Spice, long time club DJ and radio impresario Nick Power and producer Mojito deliver a spell binding track with Stephanie Cooke delivering her trademark vocals to a piano infused soulful groove. The original Tribute mix comes stacked with big beats and a bassline to drive the toughest of crowds and they were kind enough to include an instrumental for all you heads out there.

Following hot in the steps of the Tribute mix comes Soulfuledge with a deep and lush remix lifting the vocal to another level and dropping some cutting edge beats for all the late night dance floors and hardcore groovers.

Finally we have our own in-house Redub as we tear the roof off with a few choice cuts of vocal and we get nasty with the beats and stabs for a slightly harder edge.

Nacho Marco?s remix adds steel to the original?s splendour as TR-303 and 909 joining forces to drive energy levels skywards. One way or another 2015 will be a momentous year for Pete Dafeet. His label Lost My Dog ? started in 2005 with friends Ian Straker and Najan Ward - will celebrate 10 years in business, and will then issue its final release: Pete?s debut studio album 'The Root, The Soul'.



Having DJ'd since his mid-teens, Pete's early forays into production as a 20 year old were catching the eye of Yousef, Lottie and Blakkat, while Najan owned the local record shop and employed Ian as a part-time buyer. The three put their heads together and Lost My Dog was born. In the decade since, Lost My Dog has matured into one of the UK's leading Deep House imprints with AtJazz, Ian Pooley and Robert Owens featured on releases and House pioneers including Laurent Garnier, Danny Krivit, Norman Jay MBE, DJ T, Huxley and Maya Jane Coles, among others, have championed the label. In keeping with LMD, Pete's own productions have also made a critical impact. iDJ Magazine tipped the chord-heavy 'In Flux' as a contender for deep house record of the year in 2011, while 2012 saw repeat plays for 'Hit ?Em Up' on Pete Tong (BBCR1) and Chicago?s 5 Magazine lauding the left-of-centre 'Stutter' as "deviously addictive" in its 10/10 review. As for DJing, Pete has performed everywhere from China, UAE, Argentina and Peru, while his first mix CD 5 Years and 'Still Looking' was named compilation of the month by Mixmag and ranked by DJ Mag as one of 2010?s finest 30.



'The Root, The Soul' is the fulfilling of Pete?s long held ambition to write a long-player. Recorded during a year that saw him engaged and married, it?s a living memory of a very happy time - and has already found fans in Chez Damier, Ian Pooley and Charles Webster. The decision to close Lost My Dog after a decade of success was ? in truth ? a relatively easy one. 10 years is a long time, the lads are scattered across the UK and as with most 30-somethings, priorities have changed. Valencia born and bred, Nacho Marco is one of Spain's most respected DJs and producers, and a rising star on the international scene thanks to recent blockbuster releases on Ovum, Classic, and We Play House. Nacho's music ranges from warm, harmonious nu-disco all the way through to raw, acid-led techno. He's recorded for Freerange, Plastic City, and Pacha, remixing Shakira and Groove Armada and is a favourite of Laurent Garnier and John Digweed. Nacho's performed at some of Europe's top clubs and festivals, including Sonar and Space, Ibiza. His own label, Loudeast Records, boasts an enviable roster including Fred Everything, KiNK and Owain K. Nacho first hooked up with Lost My Dog back in 2009 remixing Pete Dafeet's 'Alto', returning a year later to deliver a stripped back take on Bang Bang's 'Susan Cries'. The label are delighted to have such a good friend back on board to remix the first single from Pete Dafeet's forthcoming album, 'The Root, The Soul'.

This artist need no introduction as The Rurals have been producing and releasing music since 1994 and if deep house music is what you need,then look no further than this gorgeous album entitled "Retrospect".This package has it all from deep house to downtempo,there is something for everyone.

Our picks off this release has to be the sensual "Superfluous Feelings ,a beautiful meaningful vocal piece by Katie Hector that will have you bopping your head while you dance.Also offered in this package are 3 fantastic vocal pieces featuring Rogiers. First up is "Empty Space" ,which took us on a nice as we are very familier of this topic. "Sunnyside" is another piece by Rogires that gave us goosebumps while listening,while the next cut featuring Rogiers is "One more day" which I've had on rotation and is just perfect. We procced to the next cut entitled "Crying for the City".This one takes us more on a deep jazzy journey and it's more on the traditional signature sound of The Rurals.Next on this 10 cut album is the lovely release "From Within",another featured vocalist with all the right lyrics that we all are very familier with.. Sabrina Chyld bought her game to this cut & is also featured in the hot "Suns going Down" & "Gaps in my Mind".We get the best of The Rurals with "Galatic Groove" , a deep house musical journey that I'm sure will make the favorites list everywhere.If downtempo is more your style,this album offers just the right remedy with "Rescue my Mind",the funky "Parisian_Lover" is where is at if you are in the mood to spend time with your significant other.

Light up a cigar and pour that glass of wine... sit back releax or just close your eyes and dance.This package has it all !

A few picks off this album makes it all worth while with " Delacasa" leading the way filled with latin rhythms and jazz,while the beautiful "Doronto" gets a makeover for 2015 and comes with an excellent deep version and tropical mix.Our next pick off this wonderful album is "Boslamb" which also gets a samba infuenced version for 2015. Another great offering in this package is the dance influenced piece "Aguamiluno" & "Demaramar (2015) of which can be played in a dj set and works well for dancers.This package also offers us the jazz fuzion cut "Naraisurai",a hot dance club composition that if played at the right time during your set,you will get a very good response off your dancers.The fabulous offering of "Madamlamalgam" is a contemporary jazz number filled with spanish guiter riffs and is so much fun not only to listen to but to dance.Last on this package is the Latin Fusion piece entitled "Febrer (2015)".What a wonderful way of closing out this supurb album !
