To celebrate its second year of existence and its 40th release, Gotta Keep Faith Records is proud to present its first compilation! And this time, our new GKF family member is neither a musician, nor a DJ… It’s a dolphin who loves house music! “Deepy” traveled the seven seas to find the rarest deep & soulful house gems, and got back to us in Italy with some incredible new sound that we couldn’t have found by ourselves. His last catch was excellent: 10 incredible pieces with no less than 5 exclusive and previously unreleased tracks.
Randy Brusseto, one of our favorite French remixer … got remixed, for once, by Spiritual Blessings; Lem, the man behind famous Mood II Swing who collaborated with Boris Dlugosch on Moloko’s “Sing It Back” and Mousse T’s “Horny”; DJ Nermin coming straight from Keith Thompson’s team; the New-Yorkers Jeremias Santiago and KT Brooks; DNY aka Mr Mama, who joined Tony Loreto, remixer of Mariah Carey, Amy Whinehouse, Sting & Alicia Keys; our friend the legendary Italian DJ Steve Paradise; N.Y. 90’s renowned DJ Dimension: Joseph a.k.a. Joseph Mercado, who was also part of Megamen; a fresh talented Swiss duo named Dual II; Joey, the famous Hungarian DJ behind Balearic Beats Productions; and finally another French GKF brilliant member: Krispaglia.

The collection starts with Spiritual Blessings remix of Randy Brusseto’s “Naked Melody”, which is a powerful deep-house track spiced with some horns and harmonica. Lem from Mood II Swing chose, once again, Tara J to perform the vocals on “Reach 4 U”, and Joseph Mercado took care of the remix job, making it sound more “N.Y. disco” than ever. The re-edit of “Head up high” from DJ Nermin is the perfect tune for the beach or pool parties. New-York’s garage house prodigy Jeremias Santiago and well-known KT Brooks teamed up to deliver us their Latin mix of “Keep Pressing”, a pure soulful production. “Night in NYC” by DNY and Tony Loreto will take you back in time, straight to the early nineties when Italo-deep house was at its best: piano, strings, Mediterranean sun…it’s all in there. For this collection, Steve Paradise prepared a perfect dance-floor warm-up tune: “Let’s dance” has a funky groove and a metallic sound which gives the track a little electronic touch. The guys from Spiritual Blessings brought us another classy-deep-house remix with this version of Joseph’s “Transformed”. Dual II perfectly mixed some classic Spanish guitar to the sophisticated house sound of their “Barcelona”. Joey’s “Rise” is a simple but solid deep house track. And finally, to conclude this first chapter of “Deepy” the dolphin’s adventure, Krispaglia offers us an African jungle-jazz influenced deconstructed hypnotic tune. What a program!

Kicking off is the Spiritual Blessings remix of Randy Brusseto's "Naked melody", followed by Joseph Mercado's brilliant edit of "Reach 4 U" by Lem featuring Tara J. DJ Nermin presents the lovely "Head up high" featuring Ayaah, while Jeremias Santiago teams up with KT Brooks on "Keep pressing". Next you'll find a former Spirit of House exclusive: "Nights in NYC" by DNY featuring Tony Loreto. Going further, there is the brand new "Let's dance" by Steve Paradise, a warm funkily groovin' production with a slight electronic touch. Joseph's "Transformed" is included in the Spiritual Blessing deep'n'techy remix, while with "Barcelona" by Dual II you get a lovely guitar house track. The last two tracks are "Rise" by Joey, a classy deep house track with warm chords, and "Eye soul" by Krispaglia that is fusing influences from jazz, afro and house.”
