We had no idea Zaki’s song of freedom would land to fit the moment perfectly as people are fighting for their rights around the world once again. A song for the struggle against the establishment, Zaki’s “Wake With Day The Day” elegantly spreads the message in this soulful Jazz Composition by Koyla.

Russia meets South Africa, taking the soulful vocal stylings of Zaki Ibrahim and team her up with one of St. Petersburg's fastest rising Jazz and Electronica producers 'Koyla.' The end result..? A beautiful production that has all the right touches of nu jazz and neo soul wrapped up into one graceful tune, Wake With The Day.

The Release includes Boddhi Satva's (Afriki Soul and Ancestrumental Mixes) with his signature afrisoul deep percussive sound supporting Zaki's sultry vocal, this one rolls out smoothly at a cool 120bpm for the heads. Thomas Osaze & Nav 'Awaaz' Bhinder, of Bombay Records,(Osaze & Awaaz) have again teamed in the Freedom Mix and Dub. This time the duo have put together a couple distinct mixes in a sweet laid back vocal and smooth late night dub mix. Jaycee and Jere McAllister (J & J Soultempo) complete the package with their broken beat version.
