What I love about Dj Mourad and his releases is that his production work is based on what is going on overseas and gives us another side to music that others cannot.This electronic mind-blowing E.P has all the works and deepness that only those that attend parties like "Shamfest" and "Southport Weekender" to name a few would understand."Tee Dee One" is bangin for your Tiesto fans out there Dj Mourad can hold his own,"Gental Funk" is one funky-electronic journey into deep without loosing his interpretation or compromising anything to withhold from all dancers and dancefloors across the globe.Open your hearts,ears and soul people cause your in for a treat with "Patterns & Sketches",a serious hard-house but deep trance like number that I can see why he named his E.P "Patterns & Sketches"!!! The last cut on this E.P we have "Mars Breaking",another electronic funk joint that those with an open-mind will understand.It's more on an off-beat hard to mix into track but still offers that "Different Flavor" we seem to be complaining about.Some of us that know about Cyberjamz Records,know that we like to take chances on the different sounds and this E.P makes the cut !

Many of us are well aware of talent coming out of South Africa.This particular E.P is Smoth Agent first release showcasing the talents Mushroom Boyz which consist of Menzi Khumalo & Thabo Motikoe."The Naheng EP" is another example why the music has marked and holds it's own destiny.Quality is the word I can think of when I listen to these gifted producers.I would like to tip my hat off to Smooth Agent Records for taking action in finding such talent.The first track on this E.P is entitled "Mokela Naheng" is a deep minimal house track full of haunting synths and tribal sounds that will work on any dancefloor.I can see it now,played in nice system."Pitiki" is another slammin Black Coffee sounding joint but holds it's own with different sounds and percussions,this is a true deep house track!! Loving it ! Fianlly they left the best for last in "Slave Song" which captures the true essence of African chants,deep chords,persussions and deep sounds that will make your dancers ask for more.A true gem...I can't find a favorite.

As the popularity of Deep House Music continues to take over South African Dance-floors, with many top international DJ?s playing to masses, this scene is growing on a vast scale as new talent emerges and exciting collaborations are taking place. LA Producer DJ Martin East hooked up with prominent S/A producer and Multi-Racial Record boss, Sisco, whilst on his first tour of the country. The result is a monstrous deep house outing titled ?Travelled So Far?. This sees the start of many new and exciting projects for Martin & Multi-Racial Records, with an exciting album compilation forthcoming featuring remixes from some of SA?s top remixers along with another tour in the pipeline. ?Travelled So Far? also features talented keyboardist/producer Snow, who also turn?s out a mean Dub on the package, alongside a ?Rocking Dub? from Martin and an ?Ekhava Dub? from Sisco.Martin East has become one of Los Angeles sought after DJ?s and Producers. Sisco (Umlambo) also labelled by city media as ?Mzansi?s Capitols? son of house music and co owner of Multi-Racial Records has had a vision of building a platform and sustaining the urban music culture in South Africa. He has since been
recognised by Red Bull Music Academy.His production days started with a production trio called Soulful Roots consisting of Bubbles, Sisco and That Guy Larry. He was also listed as one of he top 10 South African DJs in 2002 by SL Magazine. Since he has been involved with international studio projects with producers such as Adrian Sherwood/Nick Coplowe and Zed Bias.Under the production duo called Sis ?n Jones, with the late Art Jones they released a multitude of hit singles including UK labels Asante and Defected. 2007 saw Sis?n Jones release their debut album ?No Barriers?. The original version by Tim McAllister features sultry vocals by Weysa Dya alongside infectious chords over a deeply stormin' groove, with the 'Dance Mix' being a mesmeric alteration of the original that turns the heat up. Mark Di Meo and Tony Loreto team up for a wonderfully instrumentated, laidback yet contaminous set of remixes that includes vocal, stripped down vocal and instrumental versions. Next, Mark Di Meo and Soul Oasis join forces for an uplifting Latin flavored dub rework. Finally we have Vick Lavender's summery 'Sophisticado Mix', a funk oozing, percussion enriched interpretation with a jazzy touch that is spreading a laidback feeling.

"It's Over" ( Marc Sir Dane) Mantree Records.

Oh Oh..what have we here? This is a very 80's sounding production track with nice vocals by Marc Sir Dane..Remind me of the hot "Jack your Body" track from the Dj Internatonal Records.Electronice sounds and deep chords makes this a very nice release for this label.Rasmir out did himself with this cut.All the mixes are on-point.The "Freedom Mix" is my favorite but the Raw Mix is more about the vocals and the last mix is more of a peak-hr pumpier version than the previous 2.Good job!
