This weeks track pick comes with the vocal talents of Byron Moore offering a fantastic cover of one of my favorite classics by Junior entitled "Mama Used to Say" and it doesn't disappoint as it delivers correctly.The Libation vocal mix is where is at as you will hear some of the original pieces used from the classic embedded in this mix but my favorite but off this package is "Sack full of Dreams" which is an original piece by Byron Moore and let me tell you,this release is hot ! The women dancers will love you for dropping this in your set !

Biography

Timmy Thomas is notable for having been a major one-hit wonder with ?Why Can?t We Live Together?,? a song distinguished by its stripped-down production ? soulful organ, played seemingly improvisationally over a rhythm from a primitive drum machine, with Thomas? impassioned vocals layered over both. The result was a 1973 hit for Thomas and for T.K. Records subsidiary Glades. While Thomas had released records before ?Why Can?t We Live Together?,? and continued to release them afterwards, none of them garnered much in the way of sales. He continued to work on sessions for T.K. Records artists (including Gwen McCrae and Clarence Reid?s alter-ego, Blowfly) and could be spotted in the ?90s working as a producer for LaFace Records.

Here we have an exceptional vocal piece by one of New Jersey's best voices Geridau,performing this wonderful but powerful piece entitled "There will be Changes" produced by Glenn Thornton. The lyrics are powerful and touch a topic we are all familiar with with all of our young black youth being shot and killed based on societies interpretation of our people and it's also an un-apologetic protest song for the killing and murdering of young Black men as it has gone unpunished due to bad laws and bad prosecutors.

Don't get it twisted,the music is designed to compliment the vocals yet are just right for the dance floors.
