Default New Releases + News From Transport Recordings

New Releases From San Francisco's Transport Recordings:

------------------------------------------------------------------

As a gift for the holidays (and beyond!) San Francisco’s DJ MFR and Transport Recordings present a sneaky little nightclub smoker titled “Everybody Dance.” This track finds MFR in re-edit mode, deftly turning the heat to 11 on a club classic in two mixes that are squarely aimed at the floor. You’ll find the prime-time Club Mix, made-to-order with kinetic rhythms and smartly placed vocal sections, and the Deep Disco Mix which lowers the tempo just a bit and tightens the drums for a slinkier affair. This one will do serious damage … give ’em a spin.

Transport Recordings presents the latest heavy-weight nightclub stomper from Vincent Kwok, the prolific DJ producer based in San Francisco (via Perth, Australia) who is also proprietor of Eight-Fifteen Recordings and partner in New Mondo with Transport’s DJ MFR. “Aura” is indeed a scintillating house music track, vibrating and pulsing with dance floor energy as its layer of melodic synth pads build over a solid four-on-the-floor groove. This is peak time business, blending elements of San Francisco deep house flavors with a more global house music feel … a classic example of the Transport modus operandi. Vincent’s own It Goes Around Mix goes for a more subdued, bass-led feel with hypnotic arpeggiations and the chords truncated to punchy stabs. It’s certainly the flip side to the original “Aura”, and equally effective in late night dance floor affairs. Here’s another winner from Transport Recordings and Vincent Kwok

Transport Recordings is pleased to present the latest release from Rome-based DJ and producer Devid Morrison. A prolific producer and remixer, Morrison most recently collaborated with DJ MFR on the well-received “Wonderland” single and contributed top notch remixes to Fabio Tosti’s “Talamanca” and Julius Papp & Mr. V’s“Chicago Tribute.” With this brand new Tribaland EP, Devid Morrison branches out with four funky house tracks that aim straight for peak time and bigger rooms without losing the stylish and classy feel that Transport releases are known for. There’s “Too Much War” with its chunky, driving percussion and urgent synth blasts and vocal repetitions; “Hello” which adds a tech-house feel to its solid low end rhythm; the jazzier, funky “Don’t Stop” featuring a cool trombone line amidst the disco stomp; and the title track which utilizes a warm sub-bass, a suitably ‘tribal’ rhythm line, and some rousing breakdowns and build-ups to maximum effect. It’s something a little different from Transport Recordings and, as always, something worth checking out. Primed and ready for spins.
