Yavahn made her mark in the early 90s as singer/songwriter on the Big Beat/Atlantic Record label with the famed trio, Jomanda. In 1996, Ruffneck with Yavahn returned to the scene on Little Louie Vega's and Kenny Dope Gonzalez MAW Record label with the International smash, Everybody Be Somebody, produced by Backroom Productions.
