Rating system gone for the temporarily!
 

The rating system has been disabled because of reports of widespread abuse. It's only gone temporarily as a new system has to be devised to keep the shows rated.

Why should the shows be rated? Because we need an indicator as to what shows should continue to be part of cyberJAMZ and what shows should be asked to leave. The problem is that there are more shows/dj's then there are slots. In an attempt to "cut out the fat" we need to keep some kind of rating system in place to keep shows out that are not appropriate for our format. There is no other way to do this other than for one of the administrators to arbitrarily purge shows not suitable for our format. This is where the problem lies in that the shows might then reflect the personal preference of the person in charge of the editing.

By having a rating system in place, the audience then has this power and the shows will reflect what the people want.

So the next incarnation of the show rating will most likely be an elected panel or through non-anonymous system that can have as its participants, the members of this message board.

what is "our format"?

Progression and not stagnation. Individuality and not monotony. New or old, doesn't matter as long as no ZZZzzzzz's are involved. If you're listening to a show but can't continue to listen to it because it's boring you to tears, that is not "our format." To each his own but the general consensus should apply.
