About a year or so ago, my friend Kevin Starke of KStarke Records shop told me about K.Joy, this underground singer from House Music's early years. Quite a few of her tracks were made famous as "Ron Hardy originals" - original, unreleased tracks that Chicago's then-unknown producers were giving to Ron Hardy at the Music Box on reel-to-reel or even cassette tape. Some were re-recorded by other vocalists for commercial release, but her name - at least among the old school - was pretty well-known.
By now, K.Joy's been back on the scene for awhile and released a number of tracks for Cyberjamz Radio's Cyberjamz imprint (and a blast from the past was released in the package of remixes for her track "Like This" released on Cyberjamz a year ago, which features Chip E's original 1985 mix). This is her new track, "Lover's Dance". This is a bit of a poetic release as she teams up with the In Blueblackness production team (aka Darren Brandon/DJ Quad, Joe Glover and Pierre Raymond), who are themselves responsible for some killer tracks and remixes over the years.

** Exclusive Preview ** This is a special project for both CyberJamz and the artists involved, as all the proceeds go towards the Women's Cancer Network. In fact, its the biggest project for CyberJamz so far, as Soul Oasis (Sammy Rock) and K.Joy team up with vocalists Martha Wash, Libby Jones, K.Joy, Raine, Flora Cruz, Carolyn Harding, Screaming Rachel, Trizonna McCleron and Dajae to present "I am woman", a production that is all about the powerful lyrics masterly performed by the involved artists. The mixes let you choose between a fiercely stompin' yet soulful affair featuring warm melodic keys and chords, a powered up version with 80's styled synth-pop melodies perfect for peak time play, and finally a marvelous remix by Rob Temple who gives the song a resistless broken beat touch. Please support this project.

Exclusive Preview: Dream "Touch me" (Vick Lavender's Diasporas Den Mix)(CyberJamz Records CD-R)
"Touch me" by Dream will be released on CyberJamz Records later this year (no release date available), but we couldn't resist to bring it to your attention after sitting on it for about a month as the summery Vick Lavender remix is such a gorgeous gem that needs to be heard. A funk oozing, percussion enriched smooth backing leads the way for the sultry vocals by Dream and a marvelous jazzy instrumentation, altogether create an uplifting laidback feeling.

Wincie "3 Ways to lose my love" (The Unreleased Mixes)(CyberJamz Records CD Promo)
Various "The Best of CyberJamz Vol. 2" (CyberJamz Records CD Promo)
CyberJamz Records open their vault to present two massive releases. First is a package of fine unreleased mixes of Wincie's "3 ways to lose my love", with DJ Buzzard getting deep and moody on his contaminous remix, while Groove Victim (aka GVA aka Jay Brown) goes back in time on his bass driven old skool flavored remixes, and lastly Blackwax serves laidback after hours deepness loaded with beautiful keys. Second is a collection of unreleased tracks, including a deep hypnotic remix of K.Joy's "Butterflyz" by The Combinations (also included is Paul G's 'Butterflyz In Space Mix' in remastered form), the deep organic "Court jester" by Ronnie Ron featuring Gene King on keys, the deep orbital sounds of Groove Victim on "Outspaced" and a funked-up reworking of Beppe Gioia's "Untitled fantasy".

The Nothing E.P(The Groove Victim)

http://assets1.podomatic.com/mymedia...jpg?1248227154

Jay Brown, a.k.a. The Groove Victim is back with another Cyberjamz Records release, “The Nothing EP”.
Coming off the success of The Foul Tracks EP, Groove steps away from the classic “Jersey Sound” and gives us a Peak Time stomper called “The Nothing”.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
“Calm before the Storm” is the introduction with its airy, somber, and dark mood, which later progresses into a more aggressive feel as Groove’s syncopated beats influence one’s stress levels to increase in intensity.

“The Havoc Mix” feeds off the prior track but brings out the raw aggressive side of Groove’s production style. With its spaced out chords, hard-edged beats, and a wicked synth solo capitalizing on an already aggressive tone, this track is persistent in its overall goal of lifting the spirits and tension of dancers on the dance floor.

The “Nothing but Beats” mix is the Bonus Beat track of the EP and can work wonders as an extended mix to enhance “The Havoc Mix”, or an underlying beat with other House Tracks. DJs are gonna love these beats!!!!!!!

We hope you enjoy this EP as Groove continues his mission to bring you the best in House Music and continues to work with Cyberjamz Records to become a force to be reckoned with in the House Music Community.

Groove Victim - The Nothing EP [Cyberjamz]

Jay Brown delivers more deep dopeness of the very calibre. “Calm Before The Storm” is a laid back affair with mellow keys and soothing strings that just wash over you; the music has a wonderful calming effect while the rhythms gently prod your feet into action. “Nothing But Beats” is just that and offers up several opportunities for those who’re prepared to be creative in their sets. “The Havoc Mix” offers a more penetrating alternative with more urgency in the beats and a striking combination of synths.
