Tea Party Music & Manchildblack invite you to the mecca of global soul culture, Libation!

On Tuesday, November 4th Tea Party Music and Manchildblack bring you a special election night edition of thier popular soiree, Libation. Resident DJ Ian Friday will be joined on the decks by none other than DJ Sabine (Oya Sound/Brooklyn Mecca) to keep the dance floor jumpin' all night as the television moniter keeps track of the results on this historic night.
Also, expect a live performance by the all female house dance troupe MAWU, as well as other surprise performances throughout the night.
Acclaimed dance collective Afro Mosaic Soul will host the nights festivities while resident visual artist Concep captures the essence of the party live on canvass.
Doors will open at 8pm for what will be an amazing celebration. Arrive in the first hour for free food and 2 for 1 drinks.

Saturday nights in NYC just got hotter!!! Legendary nightclub SOB'S and recording artist/promoter of the popular Libation party, Manchildblack, bring you a night of global grooves with their brand new dance party, Sol Ascension. This monthly soiree is dedicated to showcasing the best live acts and dj's in the genres of global soul, afro-beat, funk, deep house and nu jazz to keep you dancing all night long!

On Saturday, November 22nd, Sol Ascension sets it off with a bang when the artist that Gilles Peterson calls '...the man behind a million great tunes' stops by to construct beats live onstage - acclaimed UK producer/musician/dj Mark de Clive-Lowe. His 2005 smash album Tides Arising is now a future soul classic as are his brilliant remixes for the likes of Jody Watley, Omar and Brazilian superstar Ed Motta. Mark's latest solo release is the Japanese exclusive JOURNEY 2 THE LIGHT (Freedom School Records) featuring Bembe Segue, Jason Yarde and Sammy Figueroa (Miles Davis). The next long player release on the schedule is MELODIUS BEATS VOL.2 – a collection of Mark’s recent remixes, productions and collaboartions, due out in the New Year. For this, his first NYC appearance in over a year, Mark will be joined onstage by the powerhouse vocalist of such dance floor anthems as 4Hero's "Hold it Down" and King Britt's "Happiness", the incomparable Lady Alma.
