deep, soulful, house music mixed by DJ MFR …

As a member of San Francisco's posh posse of deep house DJs and producer, DJ MFR aka Marco Celone has conjured up his own brand of sleek, funky house music that's been embraced by leaders and fans of the scene for over a decade. Growing up in Rome, Italy, Mraco embraced his native city's love for world music. At the age of 18, Marco started spinning in clubs around town, infusing soul and funk into his developing veneration for electronic music. But it wasn't until he relocated to the Bay Area that he gained recognition and very soon he began turning heads around San Francisco's underground house scene. DJ MFR soon founded his own label, Transport Recordings, in 1997. Now a well-established indie dance label with excellent underground house music, Transport has garnered a large and loyal following with a roster that has showcased such heavyweights as DJ Rasoul, Vincent Kwok, Arnold Jarvis,Miguel Migs and DJ MFR himself. Marco premiered his production skills on his album project Rome Departure, and since that time has created an arsenal of flush, world-influenced beats that are as pulsating and feverish as they are euphoniously pacifying. His greatest success, Afterdark: San Francisco, won him recognition in Billboard's electronic charts as well as spotlights and interviews in prestigious dance magazines such as BPM. DJ MFR has also compiled many commercially available mixed CDs, including Downtown: San Francisco for Swank Recordings and the six part West Coast Excursions series released by Transport. In recent years, he has paired with Bay Area producer Vincent Kwok and the two have explored the darker side of late night house under the name New Mondo which recently released the celebrated album Total Control.

In this latest installment of the West Coast Excursionsseries DJ MFR invites you to sit back, relax, and prepare for another expertly mixed Bay Area-inspired musical journey. Some of the most respected house music labels, singers, and producers are represented in the track list including Miguel Migs, Julius Papp, Jask, Benji Candelario, Chris Lum, Groove Assassin, New Mondo, Haldo, Fabio Bacchini, Fabio Tosti, Lisa Shaw, and Morrisson. It's a fine hour+ of superb house music reflecting a proper night out or a quality back-to-mine session, flawlessly blended with DJ MFR’s smooth mixing style.
