Central African Republic born and now Baltimore, US-based producer of the monstrous hit Summer Breeze, is set to arrive for a tour in SA. The summer of 2010/2011 will always be remembered as the year that bore us the wonderful melodic super track to dance to for summer, and connected us with the makers of that track, N?Dinga Gaba and the songstress Sahffi Lynne. We managed to get N?Dinga to take some time off and do a Q?nA for his upcoming SA tour. And found out how the Spring winds whispered the words summer breeze and inspired what is now a national chorus on the dance floors.


Mention N?Dinga Gaba in SA and you get people in a frenzy haze. Tell us what inspired the making of Summer Breeze?
Summer Breeze was inspired by a conversation Sahffi and I were having about a tune that we were stuck on. So one spring day last year, I called Sahffi and told her that we should change direction on the song we were working on at the time?and maybe focus the subject matter of the song on a story about a summer fling or summer romance. About an hour later Sahffi called me back, super excited, and told me that while she was taking a walk, the spring wind hit her face and she heard the words ?summer breeze.? From that moment the song was born. We got together, fine tuned the lyrics and music?.and the rest as they say, is history.
And has this magnanimous hit of a track in SA, being getting the same reception elsewhere in the world of house music?
The reception to the tune has been overwhelming in many places, but I think it hit the hardest in South Africa and Botswana. All thanks in part to Foliage Records and the super remix that Raw Artistic Soul provided. He killed it!!!
