I reviewed the Luke Dave Remix of this release last week out on ADE Recordings.This time around we take a listen to the complete package offering some very nice mixes by Dany Cohiba, Valentino Guerriero,Luke Dave,Albini & Muratore and a lovely downtempo remix by Blackjean.Meisha Moore lends her sensual voice to this release making it very sexy like fine wine.

My favs out of this release are the Danny Cohiba Mix and the wonderful downtempo remix by Blackjean.

"Majestic" is simply that. Magical !

"Live your Life" by Pax The Pianist is one of those pieces I truly enjoy,offering gorgeous vocals and complimenting music.


"Piano Chant" - Thamza's Audio Out Groove is where is at ! Gorgeous music and the exceptional piano,synth and bass line composition are just perfect and puts you in a trance.


JT Thompson offers us a lovely remix of "Dear Mother" featuring Meechie Faire.The vocals are very nice with complimentry music to make it complete.

Next up we have New Jersey's own Elliott "Djev" Venegas offering us a banging dance floor filler properly entitled "Bang it" (DJEV Bang Your Mind Mix) which kicks off with a human beat-box and goes off into a infectious slamming beat.

"Bronx Hop" is another nice filler with nice vocal samples and old school sound. Hugh Xdupe (Bruno Mynx) did a good job on this mix.

The rest of tracks are nice too,especially if you love deep house instrumentals and if so,then this compilation is for you !

Creed of House is one of those pieces you drop in your set and surprise your dancers.Spoken Word artist Chris Hercules drops the famous rally cry of keeping our housemusic alive and where some of it originated from.Chicago,New York City,Detroit among many other cities are mentioned in this cut. Plenty of shout outs go out to those that continue to serve our house music communities.

What surprised me about this release is the "Rise Ashen Roots" Mix and slamming Acid Dub absolutly takes your dancers to that old skool Acid House place that never truly went away but just kept underground.I'm quite content with where this track went with mixes by Gene King & a bangin "Soulenoids NY Tribute Mix"both to make a nice addition to your collection.Get all the mixes,for they are very nice !

Biography

Timmy Thomas is notable for having been a major one-hit wonder with ?Why Can?t We Live Together?,? a song distinguished by its stripped-down production ? soulful organ, played seemingly improvisationally over a rhythm from a primitive drum machine, with Thomas? impassioned vocals layered over both. The result was a 1973 hit for Thomas and for T.K. Records subsidiary Glades. While Thomas had released records before ?Why Can?t We Live Together?,? and continued to release them afterwards, none of them garnered much in the way of sales. He continued to work on sessions for T.K. Records artists (including Gwen McCrae and Clarence Reid?s alter-ego, Blowfly) and could be spotted in the ?90s working as a producer for LaFace Records.

Inspired by the recent protests around the world for freedom to live
peacefully and expressively, Keith Thompson joins forces with Deckrise
to give voice to this collective energy.
Deckrise is a DJ/ Producer/Engineer that?s been working behind the
scenes in Europe for years and has decided to step out front with one
of his favorite vocalist, the legendary Keith Thompson to present a song
that puts music and words to the protest and frustrations of a
generation.
Keith Thompson (Singer/Producer) is known for his years of club hits
that have moved dance floors internationally. The biggest of which is
undoubtedly ?Break 4 Love?. ?We Rise? is set to move the club land

Here we have an exceptional vocal piece by one of New Jersey's best voices Geridau,performing this wonderful but powerful piece entitled "There will be Changes" produced by Glenn Thornton. The lyrics are powerful and touch a topic we are all familiar with with all of our young black youth being shot and killed based on societies interpretation of our people and it's also an un-apologetic protest song for the killing and murdering of young Black men as it has gone unpunished due to bad laws and bad prosecutors.

Don't get it twisted,the music is designed to compliment the vocals yet are just right for the dance floors.
