Following recent releases from the likes of Ultra Nate and Luisito Quintero, New Jersey’s own Vega Records returns with an all new original production by label chief, Grammy Award-winner and one half of acclaimed production and remix duo Masters At Work, the one and only Louie Vega.
‘Ponce’ is the first track in a new series of releases taking inspiration from the musical landscapes of countries around the world. The Caribbean archipelago of Puerto Rico is the first stop and, through ‘Ponce’, we are taken on a journey through the country’s musical culture made up of African, Taíno, Spanish and North American influences.
